What this is
Raneris covers yachts the way a good captain covers a handover: by looking at what is actually there. Not the rendering, not the show stand with the brokers in loafers, but the boat at the dock in October, the crew list, the yard invoice, the berth that costs more per night than the hotel behind it, the tender run to lunch.
Eleven departments carry the work. Superyachts looks at motor yachts over 24 metres as machines and as households. Sailing Yachts and Catamarans at the two ways of doing it under canvas, or on two hulls. Marinas at the hardest part of ownership, which is where the boat lies. Yacht Brokers at buying and selling. Crew Services at the people who run the thing. Yacht Management at the companies who run the people. Charter Destinations at where the week goes. Beach Clubs and Luxury Hotels at the shore, because a yacht spends most of its life next to one. Private Jets at the forty minutes between the aircraft and the passerelle.
Why the tools
Most decisions around a yacht are arithmetic wearing a blazer. A charter week is a base rate, an allowance, a tax and a tip. A crew is a number of cabins and a payroll. A berth is metres times nights. A passage is distance over speed, with fuel. So we built eleven tools that do the arithmetic in the browser, hand you the answer, and then tell you what the answer means.
Nothing you type leaves your device. There is no analytics script, no advertising network, no embedded map, no third-party font. The pages call our own server only when you deliberately send something, such as a message from the contact form or a vote in a department poll.
Who makes it
Raneris is published by NexTao GmbH in Düsseldorf. The magazine takes no payment for coverage, sells no listings, runs no advertising and accepts no gifted charters. Where a price appears it is a guide price a reader could expect in the season named, checked at the date on the article, and it should be treated as a starting point for a conversation with a broker, a marina or a manager rather than as a quote.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write and it gets fixed with a note saying what changed. Precision is the whole product.
