Privacy
What this site stores, which is close to nothing.
The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds nothing from anybody else and makes no request to a third-party server. Fonts, images, scripts and styles are served from raneris.com Nothing you type into a tool, a checklist or the helm leaves your device.
Controller
NexTao GmbH, Königsallee 27, 40212 Düsseldorf, Germany. Email info@raneris.com, telephone +49 1577 5588 888.
Server log files
The hosting provider stores standard access data: the requesting page, the file requested, the status code, the amount of data transferred, the referrer, the browser and operating system, and the IP address. This is done on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to operate and secure the service, and the data is deleted after seven days at the latest.
Contact form and newsletter
The contact form and the sign-up for the Log come from formdialog.com, the form service of NexTao GmbH. It runs on its own server at Hostinger in Frankfurt am Main, sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. With the form it learns on which page of this site it is shown.
If you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you enter (name, email address, subject, message) to answer your request, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The message is delivered to the desk by email, stored in the form service and deleted once it is no longer needed. To fend off abuse, the IP address of every submission is kept for 14 days, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The Log uses double opt-in: after signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link, and only the click on it subscribes you. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. As proof of your consent we store the time and IP address of the sign-up and of the confirmation. Your address stays on the list until you unsubscribe, which the link in every issue does at any time, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We do not pass the data on to third parties.
Department votes
A vote in a department poll transmits only the identifier of the poll and the option chosen. No identifier, no IP address and no cookie is stored with it, and the totals are aggregated.
Local storage
The tools, the checklists, The Raneris 50 and the watch setting use your browser's local storage under the prefix raneris. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.
Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to info@raneris.com and it will be handled within the statutory period.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, on the basis of a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
