La Zagaleta is nine hundred hectares of cork forest above Marbella with two hundred houses in it, its own golf courses, riding stables and a heliport, and security that is discreet and total. La Colina sits on a ridge in the upper estate with the Mediterranean from every terrace and Africa on clear days.
The house is large and built for a household: eight bedrooms, staff quarters, a kitchen for a chef, a cinema, a spa with an indoor pool for the winter, and outdoor pools for the rest of the year. The staff of five stay with the house.
It is the estate we place families in for a winter season or a summer month, and one of the few on this list that costs the same in February as in August.
