A white house on the high side of Capri with the Faraglioni below the terrace, a pool that hangs over the drop, and the calm of Anacapri after the boats have gone.
Anacapri sits three hundred metres above the sea and Villa Sirena is on its southern edge, where the land falls away to the water and the whole gulf of Naples is in the window. The pool is on the last terrace before the drop, the garden is lemons and bougainvillea, and the house itself is cool, white and simple.
Six bedrooms take twelve, and the kitchen and dining terrace are set up for a chef and long dinners. A car and driver are needed for the island, which we include, and a boat at Marina Grande makes the coast of Positano and Nerano a morning away.
It is the house for members who want Capri as the island rather than the day trip: the piazzetta at seven, the gardens, the walks, the quiet.
