Can Serra
A modern finca on four hectares of almond terraces above the north coast, with the sea in the distance, a pool that catches the sunset and nobody within earshot.
Can Serra is built the Ibicenco way, low and white with thick walls, and finished the modern way, with glass, oak and stone. Seven bedrooms are spread across the main house and two guest wings, so three families can share it and not meet before lunch.
The land is the luxury: four hectares of terraces with almonds, figs and olives, a lawn, a vegetable garden the chef uses, and a path to a ridge where the sun goes into the sea. The north-coast coves, Benirràs and Portinatx, are ten minutes by car and the clubs of the south are forty minutes and another world.
It is the house for a wellness week, a family fortnight or a group of friends who want the island without being in it.
